11 May Boost your business at major expo
Visitors to the We Mean Business Expo are being urged to book in advance to put themselves in with a chance of winning an iPad mini.
Admission to south London’s biggest business event, taking place at Fairfield Halls on Wednesday, May 18, is free.
More than 1,000 business people and 120 exhibitors made last autumn’s expo in Croydon a huge success. And it looks like the event’s new spring date, again organised by White Label Creative, is even more popular as firms rush to capitalise on the key sales and networking opportunity.
One of the major attractions on the day will be the Croydon Ecodrive Motorshow 2016, showcasing the latest fuel-efficient ‘green energy’ vehicles for business from leading manufacturers.
Situated alongside Ecodrive will be a Food Market, featuring fantastic international cuisine for alfresco dining in the spring sunshine.
But it’s the commercial opportunities on the day which are whetting the appetites of south London’s businesses.
The Expo will start at 7.45am with a VIP Networking Breakfast, sponsored by the Federation of Small Businesses, with guest speakers including Gavin Barwell MP.
Councillor Patricia Hay-Justice, the Mayor of Croydon, will formally open the event at 9.30am, allowing delegates to visit stands featuring an amazing range of businesses, from multi-nationals to SME’s.
Throughout the day they will also be able to attend the hugely popular Speed Networking sessions, sponsored by Croydon Business Venture.

11am Gatwick Airport: As a major economic driver for the south-east, head of community engagement Alison Addy will outline the airport’s work to build a strong local supply chain.
12.30pm How to grow your business: A seminar led by new Coast to Capital chief executive Jonathan Sharrock, who has helped the develop the NS2 high speed rail project and was responsible for the government’s transport interests at London 2012.
2pm Marketing and social media: With competition increasing every day, White Label Creative director Jo Gumb will discuss how to target your marketing and communication strategies to best effect
In addition Business Advice Clinics, sponsored by Coast to Capital, can be booked in advance to give delegates access to a range of business gurus and mentors.
